Commercial and Industrial Solutions
Located in Tarnowo, Poland, Rybajka Fish Farm is an established aquaculture facility with 35 years of experience in breeding trout and other salmonid fish.
Unlike many conventional businesses, aquaculture operations depend heavily on a continuous and reliable power supply. Water pumps, aeration equipment, and oxygenation systems must operate consistently to maintain suitable conditions for fish farming.
As electricity prices increased, energy costs became a growing challenge for the business. Rybajka began investing in solar energy in 2020, taking advantage of the natural alignment between peak summer electricity demand and strong solar generation.
However, solar panels alone could not fully address the facility's continuous energy requirements, making energy storage a natural next step.

Project Challenge
The facility faced several key challenges:
Continuous Power Demand: Aeration and pumping systems require a dependable electricity supply to support uninterrupted operations.
Rising Energy Costs: Fluctuating electricity prices placed increasing pressure on operating expenses.
Limited Solar Availability: Solar generation alone could not meet the facility's energy needs throughout the day and night.
Equipment Protection: Sensitive pumping equipment required protection against voltage surges and power disruptions.
Rybajka needed a flexible energy solution that could improve solar energy utilization while strengthening the reliability of its power supply.

SolaX Solution: Integrated Energy Storage for Aquaculture
To address these challenges, Rybajka selected SolaX energy storage solutions, combining the SolaX ESS-AELIO with an X3-ULTRA 20 kW hybrid inverter and 14 HS51 battery modules.
With a reported combined storage capacity of 161 kWh, the system is designed to support more efficient energy management and provide backup power for critical operations.
The SolaX ESS-AELIO system serves as an energy storage and backup power solution for the fish farm's essential aeration pumps, helping maintain operational continuity during grid interruptions.
Meanwhile, the X3-ULTRA hybrid inverter paired with HS51 battery modules provides an additional layer of energy storage and power security for the facility.
Together, these solutions help Rybajka make better use of its existing solar installation, manage energy costs, and improve overall energy resilience.

Customer Feedback
For Rybajka, choosing the right energy storage solution was not just about equipment performance. Reliable technical support was also a major deciding factor.
Ziemowit Pirtan, Owner of Rybajka Fish Farm, highlighted the strong technical support provided by SolaX throughout the implementation process.
"What stands out is the excellent support from their technical team."
While the project is still in the early stages of evaluating its long-term performance, initial results have been encouraging, reinforcing the customer's confidence in choosing SolaX.

Powering a More Sustainable Future for Aquaculture
The Rybajka Fish Farm project demonstrates how integrated solar and energy storage solutions can help energy-intensive businesses address operational challenges.
By combining reliable backup power, smarter solar energy utilization, and flexible energy management, SolaX is helping Rybajka move toward a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
