SolaX Power Showcases PV+ESS+Wind Solution Breakthrough in Poland

Share my #SolaXStory

At the Port of Hel, SolaX Power, together with partners Emiternet and IstaEnergy, successfully demonstrated the integration of wind turbines and energy storage with its advanced inverter technology. This real-world project marks a milestone for hybrid renewable energy in Europe, showcasing the flexibility of SolaX solutions beyond solar and paving the way for a smarter, more reliable clean energy future.

Hel Peninsula is known for its strong and stable coastal winds, making it an ideal location for testing small wind turbine systems under real environmental conditions. The project was designed to evaluate how compact wind power can be efficiently connected to the grid using the X1-MINI G4, supported by SolaX’s advanced inverter technologies as part of the PV+ESS+Wind solution.

Case Setup and Solution

The project featured SolaX flagship inverter X1-MINI G4. This inverter stands out as a purpose-built inverter for micro-generation scenarios such as small wind or rooftop solar. Key product highlights include:

  • Ultra-compact design: Smaller than an A4 sheet and weighing just 5.2–5.5 kg, ideal for space-constrained installations.

  • Wide power range: From 0.6 kW to 3.3 kW, suitable for a variety of residential and micro-wind applications.

  • 200% oversizing & 16 A input: Ensures maximum energy capture even at low or fluctuating outputs.

  • Flexible MPPT curve & shading optimization: Wide MPPT voltage range with up to 12 customizable voltage–current points for precise turbine matching.

  • Parallel operation: Up to five inverters can run in parallel without additional EMS, enabling scalable systems.

  • Built-in safety: Type II SPD protection on both AC/DC sides, rapid shutdown, optional AFCI, and export control compliance.

  • Smart monitoring: Real-time data via SolaXCloud with I–V curve diagnosis and 10-second refresh intervals.

In this project, the X1-MINI G4 was paired with a small wind turbine through a dedicated controller that rectifies AC to DC and provides braking protection. Leveraging its wind power curve function — configurable with up to 12 voltage-current points — the inverter adapts precisely to turbine characteristics, ensuring stable grid output and high efficiency even at low wind speeds.

On-site Testing Delivered Remarkable Outcomes:

  • Stable generation validated on test bench: even when the turbine output was as low as 14 W, the X1-MINI G4 was still able to feed 9 W into the grid, proving its high efficiency under ultra-low input conditions.

  • High efficiency & flexible integration: seamless operation for single-turbine setups (X1-MINI G4) and wind-PV or multi-turbine hybrid systems (X3-Hybrid G4)

  • Innovative design: top-loading connections and new software algorithms simplify installation and enhance turbine performance.

Local Partners Highlighted SolaX’s Strengths:

  • Dawid Gorgon, Head of PV & Heat Pumps at Emiternet, praised SolaX’s “from the ground up” engineering approach: “SolaX hybrids are the best on the market, and when combined with wind turbines, the results are outstanding.”

  • Radoslaw Lukaszewski, Founder of IstaEnergy, highlighted efficiency at low wind speeds: “Even when the turbine produced just 14 W, the X1-MINI G4 was still able to feed 9 W into the grid — a remarkable performance.”

  • Mateusz Duzy, Wind Project Coordinator at Emiternet, emphasized the innovation mindset: “SolaX is not afraid of challenges. By testing under real coastal conditions, we’ve refined the product to the point that it’s one of the best-performing solutions on the Polish market.”

SolaX Is Driving Renewable Innovation in Poland

The success of the Hel project positions SolaX Power as a key player in enabling hybrid energy solutions that integrate solar, wind, and storage at the micro-generation level.

Piotr Cyrwus, Sales Manager at SolaX Power, concluded: “Our inverters are now reference devices for wind turbine testing in Poland. By working closely with turbine manufacturers and system integrators, we aim to bring more validated, high-efficiency solutions to market — helping Europe embrace smarter clean energy systems.”

As Poland accelerates its clean energy transition, SolaX Power is committed to delivering smarter hybrid solutions that unlock the full potential of renewable resources.

With SolaX, you’ve got the power — from the sun, the wind, and the future of clean energy.
