Smart1 solutions connects its EMS to SolaX's full C&I storage portfolio via EMS1000

August 7, 2026 – SolaX Power and smart1 solutions GmbH have completed an energy management system integration for commercial and industrial energy storage projects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
smart1 has implemented the Modbus communication protocols of the SolaX EMS1000, enabling its energy management platform to exchange operating data and control commands with SolaX C&I energy storage systems.

As the EMS1000 is the integrated energy management controller used across SolaX's C&I all-in-one ESS portfolio, the integration applies to all SolaX C&I products equipped with this controller. It is not limited to a particular storage model, system size or cooling technology.
One EMS interface across all SolaX C&I storage products
The EMS1000 provides a common interface between SolaX C&I storage systems and third-party energy management platforms such as smart1.
Through this interface, external platforms can access system data, monitor operating conditions and send control commands to the connected SolaX equipment.
By integrating the EMS1000 Modbus protocols, smart1 can use the same connection across SolaX's full C&I storage portfolio. Installers and system integrators do not need to develop a separate interface for each storage model or configuration.
A TRENE Liquid cooling system was provided as a test unit to validate the EMS1000 integration under real operating conditions.
What can smart1 and SolaX integration manage?
The smart1 platform can manage SolaX battery storage alongside other energy assets at a commercial or industrial site, including:
Solar generation
Battery energy storage systems
Electricity consumption
EV charging infrastructure
Flexible and controllable loads
Depending on the project configuration, the integrated system can coordinate battery charging and discharging, manage peak demand and increase the use of electricity generated on site.
The EMS1000 also supports local and remote monitoring, multi-device energy control, output management, fault recording and cell-level data collection.
What does this integration mean for installers and businesses?
For installers and system planners, the common EMS1000 interface can make it easier to connect different SolaX C&I storage products to the smart1 platform. It can also reduce integration work during system design and commissioning.
For commercial and industrial users, this integration brings storage, solar generation, charging infrastructure and site consumption into one energy management environment.
"Our goal was to create one consistent interface for the entire SolaX C&I storage portfolio," said Lily Wang, EU1 sales director at SolaX Power. "With smart1 now compatible with the EMS1000, our partners can connect different SolaX C&I storage products without developing a separate interface for each model."
Hans-Peter Pircher, CEO of smart1 solutions, said: "The EMS1000 integration gives the smart1 platform access to the operating data and control functions required to manage SolaX C&I storage systems. Customers can now coordinate storage with solar generation, charging infrastructure and other energy assets through one platform."
Rollout across Germany, Austria and Switzerland
The cooperation will initially focus on commercial and industrial energy projects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
SolaX Power and smart1 solutions will work together on project deployment, technical support and partner development across the DACH region. Further information on system configurations and commercial availability will be provided through the companies' local sales and partner channels.
