160 kWp Off-Grid Solar & Storage System for a Resort in Vietnam

Project Overview

The system combines 160 kWp of solar PV capacity, two SolaX X3-AELIO-60K hybrid inverters with a total inverter capacity of 120 kW, and 400 kWh of HR140 battery storage.

By integrating solar generation with battery storage, the system enables the resort to make greater use of renewable energy while maintaining a reliable power supply for its daily operations.

The Challenge

Resorts require a consistent supply of electricity to support daily operations, including accommodation, lighting, cooling, water systems and other essential facilities.

For an off-grid resort, maintaining a reliable power supply while increasing the use of renewable energy requires more than solar generation alone. Energy production and consumption must be balanced throughout the day, including periods when solar generation is limited.

The project therefore required an integrated solar and battery storage solution capable of providing independent power while supporting the resort's long-term sustainability goals.

SolaX Solution

SolaX provided an integrated solar and battery storage solution  designed specifically for the resort's off-grid application.

The system consists of:

  • 160 kWp solar PV 

  • 2 × SolaX X3-AELIO-60K hybrid inverters 

  • 120 kW total inverter capacity 

  • 400 kWh HR140 battery storage 

The solar PV system generates renewable electricity during daylight hours, while the battery storage system stores available energy for use when solar generation is insufficient. The SolaX X3-AELIO platform supports off-grid operation and provides intelligent energy management for flexible system operation.
