The Challenge: Greater Energy Independence for Business
FR Richter Group is a Germany-based construction and infrastructure company, providing services across building construction, civil engineering, pipeline construction and road construction.
For FR Richter Group, the transition to a new energy system began at the planning stage of the project.
The company decided to introduce solar power to improve the way it generates and uses electricity on site. For a business with significant energy demand, maximizing the use of locally generated solar power while managing periods of high load was an important consideration.
The solution needed to go beyond solar generation alone. By integrating battery storage, the system could store energy and provide additional flexibility when electricity demand rises.

The Solution: Solar, Storage and EV Charging in One Integrated System
Sunvitec GmbH installed a comprehensive energy solution at FR Richter's premises in Kassel, combining solar generation, energy storage and EV charging.
The system consists of:
304 kWp solar PV
2 × 100 kW SolaX X3-Forth inverters
1 × SolaX ESS-AELIO with 60 kW inverter output and 200 kWh storage capacity
2 × SolaX G2 AC EV Chargers
At the heart of the solution is the SolaX AELIO energy storage system, which provides 60 kW of charging and discharging power and 200 kWh of battery capacity.
This enables the system to store solar energy and deploy it when required, supporting more flexible energy use across the business.

From Solar Generation to Energy Self-Sufficiency
The impact of the new energy system is already clear from the customer's perspective.
According to Jakob Volk, CEO of FR Richter Group, the company currently does not draw electricity from the public grid and has achieved electricity self-sufficiency.
By combining solar generation with energy storage, the system enables the company to make greater use of its own energy resources while reducing reliance on external electricity supply.
“At the moment, we do not draw any electricity from the public grid. We are currently self-sufficient in electricity.” — Jakob Volk, CEO, FR Richter Group
Five Years of SolaX Experience
For Sunvitec GmbH, the Kassel project is also part of a long-term relationship with SolaX.
Sunvitec has been installing SolaX products for five years. Based on its experience, the company highlights the reliability of SolaX products, as well as the importance of responsive after-sales and technical support.
For the FR Richter project, Sunvitec also received on-site technical support from SolaX, helping ensure smooth project implementation.
“We have been installing SolaX products for five years now and from our experience, these devices are extremely reliable.” — Enrico Zink, CEO, Sunvitec GmbH

A Reliable C&I Energy Solution for a More Independent Future
The FR Richter project demonstrates how solar PV, battery storage and EV charging can work together as an integrated commercial energy solution.
With 304 kWp of solar capacity, 200 kWh of AELIO energy storage, peak load shaving and a comprehensive safety design, the system supports FR Richter Group's goal of greater energy self-sufficiency and smarter energy management.
The project also reflects the value of combining reliable technology with experienced local installation and technical support — helping businesses move toward a more flexible and independent energy future.
