Commercial and Industrial Solutions
Bezold + Platz GmbH, an installation company specializing in heating, ventilation and sanitary systems, has installed a new photovoltaic system at its company building in Georgenthal OT. Herrenhof, Germany. With heat pumps forming a major part of its business and EV charging already being deployed, the company is advancing the electrification of its operations and looking to use more of its own solar power on site.
The project features a 60 kWp PV system, one SolaX X3-AELIO 50 kW hybrid inverter and five SolaX EV chargers. Solar generation is prioritized for active company loads — including EV chargers, lighting and everyday office electricity — helping reduce dependence on electricity drawn from the public grid.

Solar Power for Daily Business Operations
At the heart of the project is the SolaX X3-AELIO 50 kW hybrid inverter, which manages solar power generated by the 60 kWp PV system and integrates it into the company's daily electricity consumption.
When solar energy is available, the electricity generated on site is used first to supply active loads within the company. These include heat pumps, EV chargers, lighting and other regular business electricity consumption. By prioritizing locally generated solar power before electricity is drawn from the public grid, the system helps Bezold + Platz increase its solar self-consumption and make greater use of renewable energy generated directly at the site.
The five EV chargers further extend the use of solar energy into electric mobility, supporting the company's broader transition toward electrification.
Built for Growing Electrification
The SolaX X3-AELIO solution was selected for its high performance, efficiency and hybrid architecture, making it well suited to a commercial energy system with growing electricity demand.
As a company specializing in heat pump installations, Bezold + Platz operates in a sector where electrification is becoming increasingly important. The AELIO platform is designed to accommodate demanding electrical applications such as heat pumps and EV charging, while also providing the flexibility to expand the system with battery storage in the future.
According to project installer Sunvitec GmbH, battery storage can be added to the hybrid system with relatively little additional effort. Once storage is integrated, the system can support high emergency power and discharge capability of up to 50 kW, making it suitable for high-demand applications such as heat pumps and EV charging.
This provides Bezold + Platz with a flexible energy platform that can evolve alongside the company's future electricity needs.
Future-Ready Commercial Energy Management
As the company continues to electrify its operations and electricity consumption increases, Bezold + Platz and Sunvitec plan to monitor the site and further optimize how solar generation is integrated into the company's energy consumption.
Battery storage is also being considered as a future extension. An important next step will be determining the appropriate battery capacity based on the site's evolving electricity demand and operating profile.
By combining solar generation, heat pumps and EV charging with a storage-ready hybrid inverter, this German commercial project demonstrates how businesses can make better use of renewable energy today while preparing for tomorrow's growing energy needs.
